A Space to Reconnect

Shiatsu offers a pause from the busyness of everyday life — a space where you don’t need to perform, explain, or push through.

It’s a chance to slow down and reconnect with your body — something many people find helpful after long periods of living in their head or on autopilot.

Sessions are responsive and led by what your body is showing in the moment. Sometimes the work is quiet and subtle, allowing release to happen gently; other times it feels more dynamic, with movement or expression.

There’s room for it all.

This is a space where you’re met as you are — where tension can soften, breath can deepen, and you can begin to sense yourself again,

without judgement or expectation.

"I feel like myself again"

How Shiatsu
Can Support You

You might come for Shiatsu if you’re feeling tense, overwhelmed, disconnected,

or simply not quite yourself.

Perhaps you’ve been pushing through for a while.

Perhaps your body feels tight, tired, or out of sync.

Perhaps you’re navigating change and feel a little lost.

Shiatsu doesn’t force anything to happen.

It creates space — and often, within that space, things begin to shift.

The body can settle, breath becomes easier, and you begin to feel

more like yourself again.

Sometimes it’s simply a chance for your body to catch up — to process what’s been held or carried for a while, and to gently absorb or let go of what it needs to.

“It’s not just the tension — my mood feels better too.”

What is Shiatsu?

Shiatsu is a Japanese form of bodywork that uses comfortable pressure on acupressure points, alongside gentle stretches, holding, and movement. Treatments are given fully clothed on a futon mat on the floor.

Rather than following a fixed routine, Shiatsu responds to what your body is doing in the moment. It offers a chance to slow down, feel more present, and reconnect with yourself — often in ways that go deeper than words.

Shiatsu works with the body as an interconnected system, rather than focusing on isolated parts. Physical tension, emotions, stress, and energy are not treated separately — they’re understood as part of the same whole.

“It feels strange in the best way — how something so gentle can be so impactful.”

Massage Therapy Session

Inspired by the Five Elements

Autumn Maple Leaves

Shiatsu is rooted in East Asian philosophy, including the Five Element system — a way of understanding the body as part of nature’s rhythms.

In the same way we don’t question trees resting in winter or new shoots emerging in spring, we don’t judge the shedding that happens along the way — it’s part of how things stay alive and moving.

Our bodies move through these same cycles of activity, expression, letting go, and restoration.

Working with these rhythms — rather than pushing against them — can support a greater sense of ease and vitality.

Ready to Book a Session?

If you feel ready to come for a session, you’re very welcome to book or get in touch.

You don’t need to have a specific issue or know exactly what you’re looking for — just a sense that you’d like some time to pause, reconnect, or be supported in your body.

Sessions take place at The Wellness Hub, 8 Market Street, Narberth — easily reached from across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. The room is accessed via one flight of stairs.

Shiatsu is given fully clothed on a comfortable futon mat. Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended so you can move and settle easily.

It’s a simple, supportive way to give your body time and space. I receive Shiatsu regularly myself and really value that time to reset and listen to what my body needs.

If you have any questions before booking, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
